My Project Life

Remember this post: "where to start..."?

I was updating my blog and also showing you all my first pages of my PL. I do love the project but don't like the showcase of my photos. They are to small after I have printed them and I dont like that one but. It kept me from going on with my project. Also the way with all the things happening in our lives I would need a lot of extra pages the way I am doing it now.

So I decided to start over again. I will keep my journaling cards where they are and most photos will stay the same. But I found a way to make them fit right into their pockets. So I have to print them again, no worries, just gonna cost me some extra ink and papers and some time. But it will make me so much happier in the end.

I am also planning to make little collages on my 4x6 photos to share more of the story and don't have to make extra pages every week. Think I like extra page to be about something special and we don't have something special every week. Now all I have to do is find some time to do all the photos over again and I am all set. Hope this weekend I can make a start and show you some of what I mean.

No pictures only letters in this post, I read your mind, won't leave you with this, I leave you with a lovely picture of my Duncan boy (ofcourse). Enjoy!! And I will be back soon with an update about my PL!!!

PhotoSwap February

Kelly from Simply Kelly Designs organised a new swap on her forum and offcourse I had to join her. This month I had to send my photos to Hannah and Hannah send her photos to me. You really have to check out Kelly's forum, it is so much fun to join in these swaps. You get new inspiration and you can challenge yourself!!

Well to make a long story short, LOL. Here is the layout I made for Hannah, this is her son with his best friend forever.

I used the Never Growing Up kit from Miss Kim, not sure it is avalaible anymore.

And here is the layout Hannah made for me. Offcourse my little Duncan in 2007 checking out all the books we had in our house at that time. And climbing on the chair to do so, LOL.

I am so lucky

Kelly jas a new template in her store called Lucky. I thought it was gonna be a challenge making a layout with this template, but once I found the photos I wanted to use and the kit I wanted to use it all felt into place.

I love SNOW!!

Finally the winter is here. This is my most favorite season and I think Duncan is in love too. We had so much fun these last two days and three for Duncan.

After a heavy day last Thursday, he stayed home with my parents on Friday. So no school for him and lots of snow in the afternoon. The day could not have been better for him. Look at the pictures my mom and dad made:

Yesterday we were home and after we had breakfast and put on some warm clothes we went to the ice with are sleigh. So much fun but not enough for Lex. He wanted to sleigh down hill and knew where he wanted to go. So many great photos were made, check out:

First time on the skates.

It was suuch a fun day and so cold outside and warm inside. And after a hot shower Duncan slept real good, hahahaha. Dreaming of a new day in the snow and on the ice.

So today after we went for coffee at my parents house, Lex went home to watch a soccer game and my mom, Duncan and me went to the ice again. He was so happy to see some of his friends and they had so much fun with there sleighs!! So just more snow/ice pictures:

Where to start...

...

Oh my, it seems like life has taken over since the last time I was here. I so promised myself when I started my blog over here at Blogger that I would really keep it up to date and so far it has not happened. So many things I would love to share with you all and so many freebies planned but not even finished. Well let's see where I can start with my story.

The year ended with a bang. We celebrated the last day of the year with our sweet neighbourfriends Richard and Eva and their little boy Lucas. We had a great time and enjoyed it very much. Had some fireworks early in the evening because of Duncan and Lucas, Duncan even had a "tank" to set on fire. Boy did he loved the fireworks and he stayed up with us till about 02.00.

New Years Day was a quite one for us, as I was not feeling that well. We enjoyed it staying home in our PJ's and doing the things we love to do most!! Lots of things did happen with the start of the new year and being in February already. I won't bother you all with it, hahaha.

What I will tell you is that I love doing my Project Life and am totally up-to-date with that one. Even though the way I planned it to do is not working for us because of all the hectic in our lives right now. But are up-to-date and loving it so far. Here you got a sneak peak.

My OLW is not going that well, but I have my sweet friend "tante" Janet who supports me in this one and I know I will get up-to-date with that one soon too. We help each other to stay focused on our words. And both love to work together and mail (a lot).

Then there is Photo-A-Day, I sometimes forget a day or so, but I don't worrie about that. I love to take photos of my little boy and already have some very special photos in my PL, so yep focus is on that one too. You can see most of my pictures in my PL.

Some other scrapnews to share with you all. Last December I got a mail of Kelly from Simply Kelly Designs and she asked me if I would be interested in joining her CT. Oh and you have to know I love her designs and template ever since I designed for her when she was one of the sponsors of ReadySetCreate. But being on Jen Martakis team, Janet's Little Feet Digital Designs team, FortheLuvofArt team, PxLCafe team and RSC team I thought it would be a bit to much. I was already in the process of maybe quiting RSC and this one helped me a little more to do so. So after telling RSC I had to stop I told Kelly I would love to be on her team. Already designed some pages for her and myself ofcourse and I have to say they worked out so well!! Check it out yourself.

Have not done very much for FortheLuvofArt and don't really now how that one is doing now, have to check with Chris about that one. And she is that one is still on. Feeling a bit quilty myself for not doing a very good job at this one. But just checked out the site and a lot of digital designs are gone?? Don't know what is happening there.

PxLCafe is still going strong. I love their kits and well I love making layouts for them, so that said here are some samples for you.

Then ending with a pic of one of my sweeties. Duncan had exams at school this week (for those wondering, yes they get exames here at the age of 5, LOL) and when I saw that when I entered the classroom I had to take his picture!! Love this one and it is one of my favorite photos from this moment!!

More soon, I promise. Now we are gonna enjoy the winter wheater in Holland. Ice, snow, cold, I love it!!
